Senator Strikes Gold

From the Associated Press:

Millionaire Sen. Judd Gregg announced Thursday that he won $853,492 in the Powerball lottery.

The 58-year-old Republican was one of 47 Powerball players who correctly picked five of the winning numbers but not the bonus digit that would have qualified them for the $340 million jackpot - the second-richest prize in U.S. lottery history.

The only jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Jacksonville, Ore. The holder of the ticket did not immediately step forward.
As they say on New Jersey Lottery commercials around here, 'Hey, you never know...'
